LOS ANGELES (AP) Jerry Nelson, the puppeteer behind a menagerie of Muppet characters including Count von Count on "Sesame Street," died on Thursday at his home on Cape Cod. Jerome "Jerry" Nelson, age 86 of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. After retirement, Jerry and Marilyn enjoyed many days with the 4 grandchildren.
